"On Top of the World" - Penthouse City Elegance - The Graduate Hotel

This styled session was amazing to be a a part of! I approached Katie of Sprinkled in Seattle about collaborating on the shoot. We both wanted to create something elegant that is a departure from the standard country chic weddings we'd both been filling our portfolios with. What she came up with leaves me breathless. I love that she featured the 2015 Pantone color of the year, Marsala and paired it with the trendiest metallic of the year, copper. The Presidential Suite & rooftop terrace at the Graduate Hotel has the quintessential pacific northwest view of the seattle skyline, lake washington and the space needle. With a sea breeze kicking through her hair, flickering candles and a Moscow mule in a copper mug, these two said I do in the most romantic spot in Seattle. For the photos, I really wanted to bring about a whimsical nostalgic feel so I opted for a light airy film style editing. This elopement is the perfect balance between the lights/glow of the crazy nonstop city in the back ground and the sophisticated intimate setting above it.
There's no better way to spend an afternoon then getting to play with and photograph all of the beautiful details put together by this dream team of collaborators.
