ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS: WHAT to WEAR?
Outfits: PICK 2 OR 3 COORDINATING OUTFITS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PASTELS. AS THIS TIME OF DAY, THE LIGHT IS SOFTER & PASTELS PHOTOGRAPH MORE FAVORABLY. PICK ONE FANCIER AND ONE CASUAL. IT'S ALSO NICE IF ONE OF THE OUTFITS IS YOUR WEDDING COLORS SO YOU CAN USE THEM FOR "SAVE THE DATES" OR GUEST BOOK (I DESIGN THOSE!) OR TO DISPLAY AS CANVAS AT YOUR WEDDING. AS FOR MATCHYNESS- CHOOSE THREE COLORS AND TRY AND INCORPORATE THOSE INTO BOTH YOUR OUTFITS. YOU'LL MATCH WITHOUT BEING MATCHY.
Props: I'm happy to incorporate anything you bring but to keep session unique, I don't provide any.
Looking gorgeous: I'd recommend getting your hair and makeup done for the shoot. It will mean one less thing to stress about and ensure you look your best. Elizabeth Marie makeup is excellent. Also, makeup tends to fade on camera, so applying a little more will ensure your features really pop.
Bling: get your ring that day or the day before so it's extra sparkly! Also, make sure your nails are either clean or Chip Free.
A few days Before Your Wedding
1. Get your ring cleaned so it's EXTRA sparkly!
2. Drink 100oz of water a day. It'll make your skin extra fresh and hydrated looking.
3. Give your maid of honor a copy of the final timeline so she can rally the bridal party to be ontime.
Getting Ready On the Big Day
In order to make the most of your getting time, I have a few suggestions.
Make sure Your hair & makeup is completed by the time I arrive.
Tell your mom & bridesmaids to be dressed & ready by my arrival time. This ensures they are looking great while helping you into your dress.
Put all of your accessories in a tote bag for easy access. This saves me time in gathering all these items and will result in more time for taking photos of these items. Items to put in the tote: Shoes, Rings, Invitation Suite, Perfume, Garters, Bouquet, Jewelry, Your something old, new, borrowed & blue, vows.
Drink lots of water & make sure you eat something before you put on your dress. After you put your dress on, you'll probably be too excited/nervous.
