This simple heart garland serves as a sweet backdrop for a signature cocktail table featuring our Blackberry Fizz. What an easy, inexpensive way to add a statement piece to a bridal shower or engagement party!
For this Valentine’s Day shoot, we chose a light, romantic color palate of blush, white, silver, and grey. We cut hearts out of scrapbook paper, and used hearts cut from the pages of a vintage book as eclectic accents.
We styled the cocktail table with flowing blush fabric, glassybabys in “hope” and “sweetheart," and all-white tulips in our mercury glass vase. (We love the simplicity of single-flower bouquets.)
A custom calligraphy champagne bottle completes the look.
Heart Garland Craft
Assorted craft paper
20 yards white ribbon, 1/8” wide
Heart punches (we used the Recollections Lever Punch in 2 3/8” and 1 7/16")
Elmers Craft Bond Quick Dry Glue
Grab a friend, and cut varying size hearts from scrapbook paper and the pages of a vintage book (or map - get creative!). Craft punches make these garlands quick and easy to make. We purchased ours at Michaels.
Place a small bead of Elmers Craft Bond Quick Dry Glue on the back of each heart, then adhere to ribbon. This glue sets quickly, so your garland will be ready to hand after just 5-10 minutes of drying.
