Kelsey & Ryan's Woodmark Boat Dock Engagement Session at Carillion Point
Fun fact: Kelsey was the FIRST model I ever photographed! I attended a beginners photography workshop almost SEVEN years ago. I didn’t even know how to shoot anything other than auto mode back then. 😂 We became facebook friends and she’s been one of my super fans since the beginning. When her fiance, Ryan, proposed, she told him — “I already know who I want for my photographer. I’ve been stalking her work for 7 yrs.” (SO HUMBLING and Flattering!!)
Kelsey & Ryan are tying the knot in August 2020 at the Lairmont Manor where we photographed my brother wedding in 2016. Kelsey knew she wanted waterfront engagement photos and we decided the boat docks near the
Woodmark Hotel at Carillion point
was the ideal location! We started an hour before sunset (Golden Hour) in order to have the most gorgeous warm light! I arrived a little early and sent them a quick video of the docks where the Como Boat was docked. I distinctly remember dropping the F bomb (because I LOVE swearing when my kids aren’t around.) Ryan overheard the video while driving and Kelsey said he got the biggest smile and said “Did she say FUCK in that video?! I like her already”
These two are like a couple of frisky puppies, laughing & joking throughout the entire shoot. Kelsey wanted to do a series of Champagne popping photos for their save the date so I got ‘artsy’ at put together a little gif of their bubbly celebration. Don’t miss their end of session dance party at the end where their ‘send it’ on the champagne and bust out their best moves!
