Jardin del Sol Wedding in Snohomish: Melissa & Tiffany's Secret Garden Day

Melissa and Tiffany live in Texas, but their hearts belong to Washington. They love our mountains, our forests and our garden-everything vibes, so they went full destination wedding: a secret garden celebration with 20 of their favorite people at Jardin del Sol, in the countryside of Snohomish. This Jardin del Sol wedding was intimate, emotional and so, so them.

Meet Melissa & Tiff

These two are world travelers and serious food people. They bought a house together in 2025, and it's run by their two pups, Dutch and Fig (who stayed home for this one), plus their cat. They are also the coolest aunts to their nieces and nephews.

When they started dreaming about where to get married, Washington won. A small guest list, a storybook garden and a weekend in a charming small town? Yes, please.

A Welcome Dinner on Historic First Street

The night before the wedding, the crew gathered for dinner at Spada Farmhouse on Snohomish's historic First Street. If you're planning a destination wedding here, a First Street dinner is the perfect way to welcome your guests to town. Brick storefronts, antique shops and great food, all within walking distance.

Why I Love Jardin del Sol

Jardin del Sol is a 10-minute drive from my house, and I pass this neighborhood almost daily. I've lived in Snohomish for 11 years, so getting to share this beautiful spot with an out-of-town couple was such a treat.

What makes it so special is the landscaping. The whole property has secret garden vibes, with a twinkle-light arch path running through the center that feels like something out of a storybook. As someone who loves gardening and growing flowers, the amount of work it must take to keep this place so pristine is mind-boggling. I metaphorically bow down to the owners, who must spend hours every week weeding.

The Venue Owner Was Also Their Planner

Jordan, the owner of Jardin del Sol, was also their day-of coordinator. Before she owned the venue, Jordan ran a successful wedding planning business. Having a planner who owns the venue is truly the best of both worlds: she knows every path, every outlet and every timing trick on the property.

I knew everything would flow seamlessly with Jordan in charge, and it did. If there were any blips, I had no idea and neither did the couple. She's just that good.

Two Brides, Four Looks

Each bride had two outfits, and every one of them was a showstopper.

  • Tiffany wore a floor-length lace and chiffon A-line that floated when she walked, complete with a flower crown. For the reception, she changed into a fitted ivory mini dress.

  • Melissa wore a timeless satin circle-skirt midi for the ceremony, then switched into a jaw-dropping pantsuit with a skirt overlay for the reception.

Melissa could not get over how beautiful Tiff looked all day. At the end of the night, while I was posing them, Melissa snuck in a cheeky ass grab, and Tiff just shrugged like, "Yup, that's my wife."

A Wedding Day Built for Introverts

Tiffany is an introvert, and she's in great company. So many of my couples tell me one of them is introverted, and I love planning around it. A wedding is a lot of people, a lot of hugs and a lot of being looked at, and getting "peopled out" is real.

Melissa and Tiff's day was set up beautifully for it. A guest list of 20 meant every face was a familiar one. Their first look and portraits happened before anyone arrived, just the two of them in the gardens. And Jardin del Sol's hedges and winding paths make it easy to slip away for a quiet minute.

Here's how I plan for my introverted couples:

  • I pick portrait spots away from the crowd, so your couple photos feel like a breather, not a performance.

  • I build breathing room into the timeline, with a few unscheduled minutes you can use however you need.

  • I keep group photos fast and organized, so you're not stuck in the spotlight longer than necessary.

  • I watch for signs you're overstimulated, and I'll quietly pull you aside for a break before anyone notices.

One of my brides told me that just knowing she had an escape option made all the difference. She never even used it. She was having too much fun.

Love Is Love Is Love

All weddings and all relationships are beautiful. Every couple, no matter how they identify or who they love, deserves vendors who are in their corner, cheering them on. Don't agree? We're probably not going to be friends.

All the Mama Love

Melissa and Tiffany's moms walked them down the aisle. As someone whose mom is her best friend, I love this with my whole heart. There were mother-daughter dances later in the night too. All the mama love, please and thank you.

A few more details I loved:

  • The rings had vintage fairy-garden vibes, perfect for the setting.

  • The favors were specialty bars of Seattle Chocolate, a sweet nod to the state they fell for.

  • The bridal party was small and mighty: a maid of honor, a best man and twin 3-year-old flower girls.

How We Spent Their Four Hours

Melissa and Tiffany were dressed and ready before I arrived, so we jumped straight into their first look. Four hours covered everything that mattered to them: the first look, couple portraits, the ceremony, family and group photos, and the reception.

Planning Your Own Jardin del Sol Wedding

  • It's perfect for intimate weddings. Melissa and Tiffany had 20 guests, and the gardens felt full of life without ever feeling crowded.

  • Ask about micro wedding packages. Jardin del Sol offers smaller packages on Sundays through Thursdays. Check with the venue for current pricing.

  • Plan for golden hour. The twinkle-light arch path and garden hedges glow in the evening light, so save time for portraits after dinner.

  • Book a planner who knows the property. With Jordan coordinating, every transition was smooth.

  • Make a weekend of it. Historic downtown Snohomish is minutes away for welcome dinners, coffee and antique shopping.
