A Little Q&A with the Bride:

How did you guys meet?

Grant and I met at the Nooksack River Casino! Neither of us are frequent Casino-goers, but we both were there attending a benefit event for a mutual friend of ours that was injured. I saw him standing there with a group of friends that I knew and introduced myself. I was shocked by Grant’s response, “I know who you are. You drive a white Dodge and ride horses!” Turns out that I had met him previously while out on the town one night and completely blew him off ….woopsie! Unfortunately, I don’t remember this…alcohol may or may not have been involved. He tells me now that he told his friend Kalen that he had to talk to me and wasn’t going to miss his opportunity this time! Anyway, he asked for my number and the rest is history! I remember turning to my girlfriends that night and saying, “that’s my guy!”Turns out I was right!

 How did you get engaged?

Grant woke me up at the crack of dawn on Christmas insisting that I open my present right that minute. I was less than thrilled that he woke me up so early, but decided I better see what all the excitement was about. I had been secretly hoping for an engagement ring, so when Grant handed me a GIANT box I was a little disappointed. I opened it and discovered that there was a whole lot of packing peanuts in it and not a whole lot of present. I kept digging and at the bottom of the box was tiny box with a ring! Best Christmas EVER!

What were some of your favorite wedding day details?

I loved it all! Our wedding coordinator, Marla Cross of Charisma Events, did an AMAZING job encompassing our two personalities in our rustic chic wedding. My favorite pieces were the deer antlers mixed amongst the antique mason jars with flowers. It was just so us!

What were some of your favorite moments from your wedding day?

The first look was incredible. Just getting to see my hunk of a man all cleaned up and ready to marry me was pretty special! My absolute favorite moment though was when Grant’s letter of why he wanted to marry me was read in the ceremony (I’m tearing up now just thinking about it). Grant isn’t the most mushy or sentimental guy, but his letter was so perfectly and sweetly written. I was instantly in tears of joy that this man was mine forever!
