This past summer I was pretty close to imploding due to the stress of trying to manage all the details of my couples weddings while trying to still maintain the level of calm that allows me to be creative. Thinking about all the near misses with forgetting to send invoices or losing timelines this past summer makes my hands shake just thinking about it. I needed a better system that managed individual clients workflows, had a spot for notes, kept my bookkeeping current and reminded me to order albums and send out invoices.
During the offseason I've had more time to get the back end of my business organized. After researching and testing quite a few client management softwares including the big two, Pixifi and ShootQ, I finally found my soul mate. 17hats is a client management software that is like having a perky administrative assistant. She reminds me when things are coming up, manages my bookkeeping and makes me look REALLY professional. I am in love.

Individualized client workflow: I was able to create workflow lists with due dates that are auto populated based on the couples wedding date or engagement session. This means that I don't have to try and jungle all the details in my head and hope I didn't forget anything. 17hats has daily updates on the overview page that remind me what I currently need to be focused on. AMAZING.
A Daily Overview of Tasks: I love having an overview of what needs attention TODAY. I am EASILY sidetracked and this overview of daily workflow tasks, invoice updates, scheduling and bookkeeping tasks that are relevant is wonderful.
A SMART Bookkeeper: The bookkeeping is fully integrated with the invoices that are in each client file in 17hats. I can create reports instantly that allow me to see profit & loss ratios, upcoming receivables and how my expenses breakdown. This is so handy because it keeps me accountable for my spending and motivated to keep hustlin'. Gatta pay the bills yo.
Digital Contracts: Let's be real, if it's printed, there's a strong likelihood that I'll lose it. As an added bonus, digital clients are totally impressive and my clients think I'm cool. *POINTS*
Client Files: I love that each of my client has a "digital file" with all their notes, contracts, dates and invoices. I had various systems before this manage all these things separately but I was generally hopping from system to system to review all the details for each client. This was both time consuming and annoying. Having everything in one place means I'm better prepared and less stressed.
