Jackson Manor WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Arlington, WA | B. Jones Photography

I've been wanting to photograph Jackson Manor since Britta first opened it. We've crossed paths for years at the Snohomish Wedding Guild's monthly meetings and worked weddings together before — and everything Britta touches is thoughtful and beautiful, so I knew her own venue would be no different. This past July, I finally got to see it for myself, and it did not disappoint.

What makes Jackson Manor so special for wedding photography

Every inch of this property is deliberate. Britta didn't just build a venue — she built a place where nothing feels accidental, from the fountain's brickwork acting as a natural reflector to the way the garden paths curve you from one perfect backdrop into the next. That kind of intention makes my job as a photographer so much easier, because I'm not fighting the space, I'm working with it.

What really sets Jackson Manor apart is how much variety lives in such a compact footprint. Most of my brides are in big dresses, heels, and dramatic veils by the time portraits start — and here, there's no long trek between locations to make that harder than it needs to be. Fountain, pocket garden, ceremony path, garden arches — it's all close, all different, and all beautiful.

And it's more versatile than its French-estate elegance might suggest at first glance. This same lush, timeless landscaping was the backdrop for Andrea & Reilly's disco-themed wedding — hot pink florals, a vinyl record seating chart, and all — and it held that vision just as beautifully as it would hold something classic and traditional. Whatever your day looks like, Jackson Manor can be the setting for it.

My favorite photo spots on the property

Getting Ready Here

The getting-ready room is just a few steps from the ceremony space — a full bathroom, and the kind of thoughtful amenities only a wedding planner would think to stock (double-sided tape, bobby pins, band-aids, all there). It's neutral and bright, but off-camera flash is a must for flattering light — the white ceiling and beige walls make it perfect for bounce flash.

Rainy Day at Jackson Manor

Here's the good news: there's barely a decision to make. Your ceremony is always held under the garden gazebo, and your reception is almost always in the ballroom anyway — so the rain plan isn't really a plan at all. It's already built in.

Couples who get married at Jackson Manor

This is a French-inspired garden estate, and it draws couples who want that romantic, established-garden elegance — but it's flexible enough to hold its own against a bold vision too. Andrea & Reilly's disco-themed wedding here is proof: all that lush, timeless landscaping became the perfect backdrop for hot-pink florals, a vinyl record seating chart, and a vintage candy machine. However you picture your day, this venue can hold it. And if you're lucky, one of the venue's resident black cats might make a cameo — I caught one lounging on a rug outside the bridal cottage like she owned the place.

If that sounds like you — we should talk.

PREFERRED SEASONS at

Jackson Manor

Jackson Manor is at its best in summer. The established rose bushes and hydrangeas are already doing most of the work by the time June rolls around — the property is so lushly planted that you honestly don't need much additional florals to make it feel abundant. Add long summer daylight hours (more time for golden hour at the garden arches) and the big umbrellas scattered across the property giving guests real shade on a hot day, and it's simply the season this venue was built for.

That said, don't count out a Jackson Manor wedding outside peak summer — the tent means you're never fully at the mercy of the weather, and the bones of the property (the fountain, the stonework, the garden structure) hold their own character in every season. But if I'm being honest with couples who ask: summer is when this place truly sings.

What a Wedding Day at Jackson Manor looks like

You'll get 600+ color images from your 8-hour wedding day, plus a full black-and-white collection of the same moments — so nothing important only exists in one version. Galleries are delivered within 30 days, often sooner.

Since Jackson Manor is right in my home service area near Snohomish, there's no travel fee — one less thing to think about while you're planning.

I've known Britta for years through the Snohomish Wedding Guild, and I've been wanting to photograph her venue since the day she opened it. Everything she builds is thoughtful and beautiful, and getting to shoot Jackson Manor for the first time this July confirmed exactly what I expected — it's a photographer's dream, built by someone who actually understands what makes a day work.
