Stepping into a luxury Persian wedding at the Woodmark as a Seattle wedding photographer was like entering a dream filled with romance, culture, and breathtaking moments. The Woodmark, a boutique hotel perched on the shores of lake Washington in the greater Seattle area, became the canvas for a visual masterpiece, and I, as a wedding photographer in Seattle, had the privilege to capture it all.
Guided by the expert hands of Laura and her team at Your Perfect Bridesmaid, the day unfolded seamlessly. As a seasoned wedding photographer in Washington State, I know the value of having a skilled planner to navigate unforeseen challenges. Laura's calm efficiency and positive attitude were a testament to her expertise, making her a recommendation I'm eager to share with couples seeking a touch of luxury in the Seattle area.
Collaborating with Lana from Seattle Floral Design meant spectacular wedding flowers. Every click of my camera aimed to encapsulate the opulence of the massive floral arrangements lining the ceremony aisle, the towering glass pedestals framing the couple, and the transformation of these arrangements into opulent centerpieces for the reception. As a Northwest wedding photographer, I work with many florists and Lana’s creations are always show stopping and add to the grandeur of the day.
The decision to have a first look on the grand staircase overlooking Lake Washington was a photographer's delight. The soft waves in the background at Carillon Point, a short walk from the tent, provided a picturesque setting for intimate moments between the couple—moments I, as a Seattle area photographer, was thrilled to capture.
Under the gossamer tent, the Persian Sofreh Aghd ceremony unfolded—a cultural spectacle rich with symbolism. Each click of my camera aimed to document the unique elements of the sofreh aghd spread, showcasing the couple's journey into a new life together. As a wedding photographer in Seattle, I found inspiration in the cultural tapestry woven into the celebration.
Documenting Persian traditions like knife dancing and the cake-cutting dance added layers of depth to my work. The wedding colors of champagne, ivory, and peach, coupled with a black-tie dress code, set the stage for an elegant affair.
Adding a personal touch, the bride's aunt contributed Persian desserts, infusing the celebration with tradition and family—a narrative I was honored to document.
Capturing the essence of love against the picturesque backdrop of waterfront weddings, especially those adorned with the gentle sway of boats, is where my lens finds its true calling.
