Hand-Drawn Calligraphy Signs

Stacy's creative talents were on full display with her hand-drawn calligraphy signs. These beautifully crafted signs added a personal and artistic touch to the wedding decor, guiding guests with elegance and style.

Ceremony Overlooking Flowing Lake

The heartwarming ceremony took place with a breathtaking view of Flowing Lake. As the couple exchanged vows, their love was mirrored in the serene waters, creating a moment that was as romantic as it was timeless.

Sequin Table Cloths

The reception area was adorned with sequin tablecloths that added a touch of glamour and sparkle to the celebration. These shimmering details set the stage for an evening filled with love and celebration.

Watercolor Wedding Cake

Stacy and Jon's watercolor wedding cake was a work of art. With its soft pastel hues and artistic design, it was not only a treat for the taste buds but also a feast for the eyes, a true centerpiece of the reception.

Artfully Styled Pie Bar

In addition to the wedding cake, an artfully styled pie bar offered a delicious alternative. With a variety of flavors and beautifully presented pies, it was a delightful addition to the dessert options.

Endless Greenery Garlands

Green Gates' lush greenery served as the perfect backdrop, and endless garlands adorned the venue, creating a natural and timeless ambiance that perfectly complemented the couple's style.

Custom Corn Hole Boards

Guests enjoyed a playful touch with custom corn hole boards, adding a fun and interactive element to the celebration. It was a great way for friends and family to engage and have a blast.

Ribbon Wand Exit into a White Rolls Royce

As the evening came to a close, Stacy and Jon made a grand exit into a classic white Rolls Royce, surrounded by the whimsical sparkle of ribbon wands. It was a picture-perfect ending to a day filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

This joyous celebration will surely be remembered as one of the most romantic and timeless moments in their lives.

Green Gates at Flowing Lake: A waterfront Snohomish Wedding Venue

Hey there, wedding photographer friend! Green Gates at Flowing Lake in Snohomish sounds like an enchanting venue for weddings, especially for the PNW couples who love the outdoors. The setting, with its connection to equestrian heritage and the beautiful Flowing Lake, seems like a dream come true.

Starting at $8,000 for peak summer weekends in 2023 and 2024, it's clear that this place offers a unique experience for couples. The fact that the original barn has been transformed into the bridal cottage and the riding arena into a ballroom reception area is a fantastic blend of rustic and elegance. And you can't go wrong with those stunning photo opportunities around the lake, lush greenery, and the Cascade Mountains as a backdrop.

I love how they've incorporated salvaged and re-purposed materials into their structures, giving it a unique and timeless character. The Groom's Cabin, in particular, is a work of art with its history-rich materials.

The wedding lawn overlooking the sparkling lake and the rustic ballroom with its chandeliers sound like picture-perfect spots for capturing the joy and romance of the day. And for couples who want to make a dramatic exit, a sea plane departure? That's something truly unforgettable!

The Bridal Cottage seems like a great space for preparations, offering all the comforts and a lovely view. And the bar, with its vintage lumber and Old West vibe, adds character to the venue.

The Rose Garden is a lovely touch for first looks and guest enjoyment, and I can only imagine how beautiful the photos must turn out there.

All in all, Green Gates at Flowing Lake in Snohomish seems like a gem of a venue, perfect for the couples you cater to. I can't wait to see the wedding photos you capture in such a picturesque setting! 😊📷🌿💍

From the Bride:

How did you guys meet?

Stacy: We met while working together at SonoSite.  Jon likes to say that I threw myself at him...but I must have done something right!

How did you get engaged?

At our favorite local mountain biking location - St Edwards.  After I was getting ready, I turned around and Jon popped the question.  We did a short victory lap after!

What inspired you while planning your wedding?

Lots of Pinterest and Sinclair & Moore.

What were some of your favorite wedding day details?

The head table, especially the DIY monogram banner I made.  The tree planting part of the ceremony.  Leaving in a vintage 1962 Rolls Royce

Did you have any DIY details?

All of the signs (chalkboard, banner, wood, and seating chart), thank you favor bags and tags, all of the flowers in the creams/sugars were done by the bride - the garland on the head table was made by the groom.  Cornhole and ringtoss.  Streamers for the grand exit - guests ending up using throughout the reception which was a blast! MoG DIY'd the garters.  All of the table numbers were watercolored by the bride.

What were some of your favorite moments from your wedding day?

Jon's toast to me and our first dance.  Our first kiss.  Jon said the ceremony was his favorite part.

What advice would you give future brides?

If something doesn't go as planned, don't worry - you're the only one that will know.  If possible, hire a day  of coordinator.  Also, when the celebration is over, talk with your husband about your favorite parts of the day.  It was such a nice way to reflect over the one day that you have put so much time and energy in to.
